My whole Celtics-Knicks ticket hunt
Okay, so this weekend was nuts. Found out the Knicks were playing the Celtics at home, and I really wanted to see it. Didn't plan ahead, obviously. Sunday morning rolls around, game is that night. Panic mode: engaged.
First thing I did? Jumped on my phone. Just started tapping any app I knew sold tickets. One app, two apps, three apps. Prices were wild, man. We're talking hundreds of bucks for nosebleeds. Like, seriously? Felt kinda hopeless, to be honest.
Then I remembered one site I used ages ago, kinda forgot the name for a sec. Searched my old emails, found it. Logged in. Still didn't love the prices, but then I saw this little "Price Alert" thing. Figured why not? Set it for anything under $150, lower level. Hit confirm. Didn't hold my breath.

Grabbed lunch, tried not to obsess. Phone buzzed maybe 90 minutes later. Boom! Alert triggered. Two tickets, section like 106. Way cheaper than before the alert. Clicked so fast I almost dropped the phone. Went straight to checkout.
Okay, the stressful part:
- Entered my card info, fingers crossed it hadn't sold yet.
- Confirm payment? Slammed that button.
- Saw the spinning wheel. Held my breath.
- Got the confirmation email literally five seconds later. YES!
Honestly? I felt like I scored a major win. From thinking I'd miss the game entirely to grabbing decent seats without totally breaking the bank, all thanks to setting that alert and being patient(ish).
Lesson learned for sure: Setting a price alert on that specific site actually works when you're desperate. Saved me a ton of cash. Now, time to yell at the refs in person!
